As a painter, I’ve found my inspiration comes from the shapes, lights, colors and moods found in nature, and from observing human subjects. My passion is to bring them alive on the canvas, focusing on images that stir emotions in the viewer. I paint from a classical representational realm, shifting between human subjects and the natural world. The process brings me much joy and satisfaction, as I strive to convey the dialogue and even interpretation shared between light and dark, forms into shapes, a spectrum of colors, and often revealing a special love – water scenes.
